PLIERS and CUTTERS - TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Reference drawings and dimensions for STAINLESS STEEL and DURANADIUM Line
               Cutters and Pliers.

               HEAD TYPES
               Cutting heads are available
               in round, round relieved,
               tapered, tapered relieved
               and various angles. Round
               heads are longer because
               more material is behind the
               cutting edge.

               SELECTION
Picking the proper size cutter is very important. Always choose the largest cutter that will do the job
properly. This will maximize the life of the cutter.

               LAP JOINT
The Lap Joint is the most
               commonly used joint on
pliers and cutters. It is used
               on most of the
               DURANADIUM Line. The
               rivet is precision machined
               to assure proper fit and
               easy long life action.

               BOX JOINT
               The Box Joint is a
               precision joint that is less
likely to become loose. It is
               used on all the Stainless
Line and on a few of the
               DURANADIUM Line.

               CUT TYPES
               SIPEL cutters are available
               with Mid-Flush or Total
               Flush cutting edges. See
               illustration which shows
               how these cuts vary.
               A Total Flush cutter
               transmits less shock, but
does not last as long as a
               Mid-Flush cutter.
